Annie Sloan Chalk Paint
Annie Sloan developed her now famous Chalk Paint to answer her for a paint with many uses. Firstly, these included acting like limewash. Secondly, to looking like old painted furniture. Last but not least, one that had a good range of colour that could be extended by the user.
This paint is very easy to work with and allows people to be creative. There is no need to get involved with the technicalities of preparation. It also allows you to change your mind without hassle.
This is absolutely THE BEST paint to use for the painted French & Swedish and Modern Vintage look. Ideal on furniture where the paintwork shows a patina of history. The paint is soft and easy to patinate absorbing the Annie Sloan Soft Wax. This gives it a beautiful mellow and protective finish.
The colours have been inspired by European 18th century furniture and 20th century paintwork and have been made bright and rich, bearing in mind that they will be darkened with wax or made paler with the addition of one of the whites from the range. Finally, like all Annie Sloan paints, the colours have been mixed in such a way that allows mixing and being lightened and layering without the colours dulling.
