Pretty Bauble Evening Clutch — Felted or Unfelted (No. 140)
“These little evening bags are as versatile as they are beautiful: dress up with a single tassel, make in embellished yarn, felt them or make them unfelted. The frame allows the bearer to carry them by the handle, or take the handle off and carry the bag as a clutch. Leave the top unruffled, or follow the ruffle instructions for extra poof.
If you make it in unadorned yarn, you can hand bead using my favorite method: use 2 mm seed beads and drop/scatter over the bag. Pin the beads where they fall and then sew on using nylon beading thread and a thin gauge sewing needle-you may want to knot after each bead (on the inside) and then travel to the next bead in the felt.
The ruffled construction of this bag accommodates maybe a little more than compact, lipstick, keys, and cash and allows it to go from day to evening to day. A terrific bag to give as a gift!”

Fiber Options:
The embellished, unfelted bag was made with Tilli Tomas Superwash Whistler in Ruby Wine on a US4/3.5 mm. The felted bag with beaded ruffle edge was made in Plymouth Galway in Chocolate, color 757, and has Tilli Tomas Flurries in Chocolate Cherry just at the top. The un-embellished, felted bag was made in Plymouth Galway in Chocolate, color 757.
